Information
While Kobi had a strong social presence, he lacked a cohesive brand identity and a digital home where prospective clients could explore his portfolio and book a consultation.
Early in our conversations, Kobi mentioned the sakura (cherry blossom), a symbol from his family crest that held personal significance. That became the foundation of the entire identity. I created a textured, hand-drawn version of the sakura that evokes a stamp or letterpress application, pairing it with organic typography that reflects the handcrafted nature of his work.
Video
I also spent time at the shop with a camera to capture Kobi in action. That footage was used to produce a promo reel for the site and a set of short clips for social campaigns. For an artist whose clients are trusting him with something permanent and personal, showing the care and focus he brings to each piece matters more than any description could.

Online presence
The goal of the website was simple: put the work front and center and make it easy for potential clients to take the next step. The site showcases Kobi’s tattoo and illustration portfolio without visual clutter, with a clear path to requesting a consultation.

The identity
The color palette is built around rich reds, gold, and inky black, drawing from traditional Japanese symbolism while feeling grounded and contemporary. These elements work together across a system of components designed for versatility.
